Will & Jada Pinkett-Smith Cut 30,000 Check For NYU's Film Program
While most may have a series of bad things to say about the Hollywood couple, you just can't help but love Will and Jada. Recently, the couple donated $30,000 to NYU's Film Program, Tisch School of the Arts, from the Will & Jada Smith Family Foundation.
Throughout the years, Will and Jada have always been very vocal about the importance of education, bettering the community, and promoting the youth to follow their dreams. With Will being a Philly boy with a dream, and Jada, a girl from B-more with a love for the screen, the two rose to stardom. Now, they are helping to invest in someone else's future.
The money will help to support female filmmakers, as well as other students who are launching TV projects, by funding two student-created pilots developed through the Tisch program. Each of the two projects will be granted $10,000, and the other $10,000 will go towards the students' Fusion Film Festival.
Simply amazing! Much respect to Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
