RADIO: The "3 Points" Relationship Theory (JAWDROPPER)

Listen to internet radio with Ms Incredible on Blog Talk Radio

Wow, was it a blast!  Ms. Incredible, of her radio show "The Art of Intimacy", and myself entered a conversational whirlwind, in which it got hot and heavy.

Of course, the women felt very opposed to my controversial theory on what it takes to maintain a relationship.  You'll have to listen, starting @ 55:50 in to find out.  ;)

All in all, many grrreat and valid points were made.  And it's only the beginning.

MOVIE REVIEW: "Limitless"

So when I heard of the concept for this film, I was like, "I gotta see this.

Now, when you go to theaters, you want some kinda "ooh" and "aah".  A little more bang for your buck.  But this wasn't that kinda film.

The story commences in sort of a reverse sequence (beginning with the end), then reverts back to the origin of the main character.  Pretty nifty setup, huh?

The story description is pretty simple, in and of itself.  Struggling writer takes a wonder drug, becomes a genius, and gets in muddy water with wrong people.

What intrigued me the most about this film was the concept it was proposing.  I mean, what is truly the brains potential?  No one is really smarter than anyone else.  There's tons of knowledge bayed in our subconscious, however, it is up to us to tap into it and apply it. The one question is, HOW???

Albeit, the deeper message the film portrayed was the physiological, personal, and occupational effect of drugs and their addiction. I mean, the guy took a "good" drug and it still had a bad effect on his life. What amazed me was how sold he was on it, and how he made excuses for it (just like a typical addict). It also showed how it corroded his relationships and sabotaged his success. Damn!

Now as I like to do, let's discuss the actors' performances:

  • Bradley Cooper - Mr. Hangover himself. The main character of the movie. He was perfect for the role. Snappy talker, sharp good looks, all that. Despite him being claimed the sexiest man in Hollywood as I'm typing this blog, his acting is actually underrated. He surprisingly matched up well with the legendary co-star of the film...
  • Robert De Niro - Could Jimmy from "Goodfellas" 1990 get anymore gritty? Well he didn't. This was one of his more "cleaned up" roles as the finance mogul who utilizes Bradley Cooper's character's "newfound" talent to construct a huge corporate merger that could change the world. Rob didn't let up a bit. Whenever he came on the screen it was like you had shut up and sit up straight in your seat, and speak when spoken to.

What the ending as well as the film taught me is the capability of how powerful the brain is, and how capable we are of not only overcoming drugs and addiction; but how capable we are of overcoming ourselves.

Here's more on the film...

BOOK REVIEW: "Men Love Abuse" by @TionnaSmalls

If you follow me on http://www.youtube.com/kevinferere and http://www.twitter.com/kevinferere and http://www.facebook.com/kevinferere, *gasp for air*, you should already know how I feel about the @TionnaSmalls brand.  (GO BROOKLYN!!!)

So ofcourse when she released her second book/ her first volume of her new pocketbook series, "Men Love Abuse"; I had to check it out.

Tionna's main slogan for this book is, "be a bitch, and you'll get hitched."

I will say there's a lot of truth to that statement, however, is it the healthiest of ideologies?

Speaking to her personally about my past marriage, she did mention something very poignant to me.  I told her my ex was a bitch, and I dropped her like TWO bad habits.  She quickly replied, "...but you married her though." *humble, 'you just made me feel stupid', face*  What could I say?  She was right.  She went on to further state that she (my ex) was stupid, didn't play her cards right, and went overboard with being a "bitch", which is how she, consequentially, ended up losing me.

Watch my YouTube video above to get my take on the book.  You can also purchase her book at the link below:

BOOK REVIEW: "Leave the Fairy Tales Up to Disney": The Reality ofDating [THE COMPILATION]

I love the love!  My homegirl http://www.youtube.com/newbaltlondtv showed me love on this and did this review, unsolicited.

I can always appreciate a woman who isn't afraid of a man's opinion, and I have to say that b/c there are alot of women who actually make a conscious decision to hold on to their fantasies in their mind; which I've learned recently.  But then, they wonder why their negative cycles repeat and they're single when they don't want to be...WOOOOSAAAAAAAAH!!!

DON'T GET ME TWISTED...The book isn't only for women, despite the fact that it's a dating book written by a heterosexual male.
...but the book is basically for:
  • Young adults and teenagers
  • Middle aged adults
  • Old adults
  • White, black, purple, green
  • Men, women, both???
  • Rich, poor, middle-class (if there is a middle-class anymore)
  • Married, divorced, single, married twice, married three times, 4, 5...
  • (should I keep going???)
So the moral of the story is...STOP FRONTIN!!!  BUY MY BOOK!!!  STOP ACTING AS IF NO ONE CAN TELL YOU ABOUT YOURSELF!!!  AND I KNOW YOU CAN AFFORD IT CUZ YOU SPEND THE SAME AMOUNT OF MONEY ON OTHER BULLSHIT ANYWAY!!!

MOVIE REVIEW: "Margin Call" 2011

So @CNBC shows this commercial for this movie dubbing it, "the best Wall Street to date", or something to that effect.  So I'm like, ok lemme check it out in lieu of all this "cock-upy" mess. lol  Now, we all know that the crash of 2008 was the most recent financial crisis of our time and generation.  And of course any true story always makes for some spicy realistic fiction drama, for the sake of relevancy and authenticity...but I digress.

The movie starts off slow but poignant, and stays that way.  It keeps a gentle pace so that the audience can soak up the ramifications of THE situation the characters were dealing with.  Watching it was like the thrill of watching Commodus in "Gladiator" 2000 take it in the windpipe, yet feeling every inch for an hour and a half.  The dialogue was short and to the point, as most financiers are. lol  The emotion was, for lack of a better word, stoic, needless to say, as most financiers are.  (There are no feelings in money.)  And the coup de grace, the ending...one thing I've learned is that when a drama film has a limp ending, it's meant to deliver some succinct, sublime moral.  (NO SPOILERS)

To my surprise, for such a short, low budget, low publicized film, the cast was riddled with some real A-list actors.

  • Kevin Spacey
    • One of my favorite actors of all time.  If you remember him from "Seven" 1995 and "American Beauty" 1999.  He never let me down.  In his true style and cold, satirical, as always.  He played the top guy in a series of top guys in a corporate food chain.  His character gets put in between a rock and a hard place to make moral decisions and save his pet dog.
  • Stanley Tucci
    • Mr. "Devil Wears Prada" 2006, betcheeeezzzz!  He plays the fallen angel of a downsizing and gets resurrected by his complex research of a financial nightmare imminent to come true.
  • Simon Baker
    • The handsome dude from "The Mentalist" (TV), who was also in "Devil Wears Prada", and yaaaaaassss "Something New" 2006 with Sanai Lathan.  He plays another top dog, who happens to be the "executioner" of the story.  The young boy wonder who shoots up the corporate ladder passed all the veterans and calls the shots that no one else wants to.  Even colder than Kevin Spacey's character.
  • Demi Moore
    • You already know who she is.  In this film, Simon's character's sidekick.  Her character takes an ironic turn of fate.  In this film, she kinda went into an acting toe-to-toe with Simon, but watch the film to see how that panned out.
  • Zachary Quinto
    • "Star Trek" 2010 (Spoc...I remembered those eyebrows from somewhere. lmao)  His acting was just as good as it was in "Star Trek".  #kanyeshrug  But it kinda fit his character in this film.  "Who'da thunk it", it would take a doggone rocket scientist to figure out the crash of 2008...but oh well.
  • Paul Bettany
    • Can you believe this guy was the voice of "Jarvis" in "Iron Man" 2008, 2010!  He was also in "The Da Vinci Code" 2006 and "A Beautiful Mind" 2001.  His character was sort of a personal mediator between the other characters and sort of an emotional usher to the story, who holds the audiences' hand through this "cruel financial world".  Making declarations about the perceptions of the common American in relation to the power Wall Street holds.
  • Jeremy Irons
    • OOooooom-gizzle!!!  This guy was the voice of "Scar" in "The Lion King" 1994!  A more veteran actor.  This guys is the "finisher" to Simon Baker's "executioner" character.  The main big dog who gives plain so he likes it plain.
There was one visceral emotional scene in the entire movie.  The rest of the emotion would have to come from the viewer.  I will say this...do not watch this movie expecting some big "oooh" and "aaaaah".  This film was more like the capturing of an event.  What you get is what you get.  And don't try to follow the jargon if you aren't educated in the field.  It'll just drive you crazy.  Also watch it more than once so you can get the message of what the movie is trying to portray.

What I got from it?...that anything can happen to anyone, and any small thing can become a big thing.  I also learned that hustlers do have a heart, it's just that most of 'em can't afford it.  #kanyeshrug

"So you think that money is the root of all evil?" ["Atlas Shrugged" EXCERPT] DEEEEEP!!!

Have you ever asked what is the root of money?  Money is a tool of exchange, which can't exist unless there are goods produced and men able to produce them.  Money is the material shape of the principle that men who wish to deal with one another must deal by trade and give value for value.  Money is not the tool of the moochers, who claim your product by tears, or the looters who take it from you by force.  Money is made possible only by the men who produce. Is this what you consider evil? ...Not an ocean of tears nor all the guns in the world can transform those pieces of paper in your wallet into bread you need to survive tomorrow. ...Whenever destroyers appear among men, they start by destroying money, for money is men's protection and the base of a moral existence.  Destroyers seize gold and leave its owners a counterfeit pile of paper.  This kills all objective standards and delivers men into the arbitrary power of an arbitrary setter of values... Paper is a mortgage on wealth that does not exist, backed by a gun aimed at those who are expected to produce it.  Paper is a check drawn by legal looters upon an account which is not theirs: upon the virtue of the victims.  Watch for the day when it bounces, marked: 'Account Overdrawn.'
This is an excerpt from the renowned book "Atlas Shrugged", by Ayn Rand.  I won't go into the details of this novel, but this excerpt, in particular, refers to people the author calls "moochers" and "looters".  Most likely the "moochers being the poor, and the "looters" being the rich (not the wealthy; there is a difference) and the politics.

Now, you ALREADY know I won't go into Bible scripture, but actually quote is, "The LOVE for money is the root of all evil."  But it's natural for people to get that twisted; being money's conspicuous attribution to the way people change once they get it, as well as how they fiendishly they seek it.

But I bring this up because the excerpt makes such a great point behind the stupidity of lay people demonizing the concept of money in itself.  Most of those people heed to such credence out of upbringing or sheer ignorance and comfort.

On the flipside, it also points out who the REAL evil is...us.  This was the conclusion I drew after taking an audience to the 2010 Oliver Stone sequel "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps".  Vengeance, power, love, greed, characteristics that make us noble can just as well make us evil.  Our motives and intents are what make us who we are.

So why demonize something inanimate, when it's ourselves we should hold accountable?  Is it easier that way?  Is it in our nature?

New Marriage Agreement Proposal: THIS SHIT IS GENIUS!!!

Ok, so there are no guarantees in love right.  So we formulate a legal institution to subside this reality; although it has perpetuated itself into an overzealous, religious fallacy.  Yet still proving necessary to provide a modicum of family structure and societal guidance. hhhhhhuuuuuuuh...*catches breath*

Me and my twisted little mind came with a quite reasonable solution!  In turn, I devised (drumroll please) THE SHORT TERM MARRIAGE PLAN, plan, plan, plan  *echoing* lol

The stipulations are as follows:

  • So you want the definitive title as HUSBAND & WIFE, solid right?  Not to mention all fiscal benefits, breaks, discounts, etc.
    • There you have it!  You're married, but...
  • You may want it to last forever, and yeah, yeah, yeah, your religion may tell you it's supposed to last forever, BUT LET'S BE REAL.  You don't know how you'll feel about that person or how they'll turn out years ahead, or vice versa.  Yeah I know what you're saying, "well then, you shouldn't get married in the first place" #SMACKYOSELF!!!  We all want that fair chance of trying things out, you know, testing the waters.  IT MAKES SENSE!
    • So with that said, your marriage term will last only 3 years.  That's ample time isn't it?
  • Within those three years you can see how your RELATIONSHIP (key word) can withstand the legal structure and pressuring of a marriage institution.  It's long enough to have that commitment (that women covet sooooo much), as well as the time you need to see where the RELATIONSHIP (key word) is going.  In lieu, of the possibility of divorce, (because it is a reality), both spouses aught to have legal protection...
    • Sooooo, with that in mind, there will be A MANDATORY PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT set by the husband ONLY...YES, yes, yes, I SAID IT, I said it, I said it!!!  Too many dudes get fucked over in divorces!  You heifers know it!!!  It's bullshit and it needs to stop!
      • However, the husband would only lay claim to his assets, only.  Basically, what you came in with is what you leave with.  Other shit like child support, I'm still working on that... #dontjudgeme
  • Whew, now that we got THAT out the way...
    • This will only kick in if the couple separates before the term is over.
  • But at the end of the term, the couple then renegotiates the contract...
    • To either stay together for ANOTHER 3 years,
    • Or divorce in which the Mandatory Prenuptial would kick in and the couple will legally part ways...SCOTCH FREE!!!
OMG!  You can't tell me that doesn't sound reasonable!

P.S. Now, women should be completely fine with the Mandatory Prenuptial part.  I mean, because, after all, you're marrying for love, aren't you? RIIIIIGHT...

"Gold-digger"...is it really a bad name?

I love how life and living slowly morph your way of thinking (but then again, why are old people so stubborn?...I digress).  But looking back on how impressive peer pressure and group-thinking can be urges me to wanna become some kind of social rebel.  I guess this is the same vein in which I derive so many of my blog and vlog (my youtube channel) topics.

So I came across the article @MadameNoire (click here) breaking down the reasons to date a rich man.  And I'm telling myself, "duuuuh", but also thinking, if I were to read this 5-10 years ago, I would've been disgusted.  But not disgusted over the content of the article, but disgusted at the sheer vanity of it all.  I probably would've said to myself, "well, what about her loving me for me?"; and then start feeling sorry for myself and demonizing any woman who would subscribe to such credence.

What money has shown me is that nature never changes.  What we want and what people want from us, innately, we must adhere to; no matter how contrary we may feel or how we feel things should be.  And what we want and what other people want from us, innately, doesn't change, whether rich or poor.  For instance, us men aren't bashful about wanting a fat ass and tits, right?  So why be double standard about it?

Men knocking gold-diggers merely comes from the bandwagon the more well-to-do men have purported.  Not to mention the stories of these men getting their wallets dragged through the cleaners, "in the name of Love"; and those women disappearing without a trace.  But those are the most extreme cases.

Reading the article (click here), the points made were quite valid, being as that they pertain to what women inherently desire in nature; circumventing convenience and security; which I talk about in the third installment of the Prosperity Unlimited LLC dating book series (click here).  But some of the points made were:

  • "Baggage claim" - mainly stating that if a woman has "issues", a man with enough money can put a "band-aid" on it.
    • I wouldn't claim this being the healthiest of ideals, but it does make sense.  Remember my two-headed monster..."money & sex".
  • Wine & Dine - quite obvious.  What woman doesn't like to be wined and dined.
    • I always say, "No matter how appreciative she is, she'll eventually get tired of going to McDonalds." #kanyeshrug
  • Security - In regards to my Two-Headed Monster theory, let's not lie to ourselves.  Intimacy is alot easier when you're not worrying about bills.  You know I'm right.
  • (Drumroll please...) POWER - "No one man can have all that..." The guilty pleasure and a pleasing guilt.  There is no denying all the relational attributes power entails; the respect, the attention, the convenience, the wealth, the security.  C'mon, I 'm a guy, and even I'm attracted to powerful men. #nohomo #pause
    • But we also must keep in perspective the attribution of power in nature.  For this is where the attraction originates
There also may be others, in my opinion, like attention, flashiness, upward class mobility/elitism.  Now, those points I made may make a woman look vein, yet they're still a reality, which makes them valid.

But all in all, trying to maintain a committed relationship and raise a family, starkly opened my eyes to the realities of nature and money.  We can go on all day about the beauties of the wild and nature, but at the end of the day, that lion is still gonna chase that gazelle, and when he catches him...

"All the %'s, WTF": My two cents on the Occupy Movement

So, I don't work too far from Wall Street, and I'm hearing all this commotion about protesters getting arrested left and right; the "1% and the 99%"; and now it's "the 57% and the 43%"...GEE WIZ!!!

It's amazing what can creep in your backyard, and go right under your nose.  But it's safe to say, we no longer live in the "United [Safe] of America" where we live out the American Dream (whatever that is), kiss our wives on our way out the house, punch our clocks at work, and come home to take Saturday and Sunday off, and do it all over again the next week.  THIS SHIT IS COMING HOME PEOPLE.

The turmoil in the world we conveniently surveyed on the news within the comfort of our picketed fences is now staring us in the face, and we can't look away anymore like we used to; namely starting since 9/11.  It was only a matter of time.  And it will only be a matter of time when enough people get angry enough about there "American Nightmares" and start "knocking on your doors"...if you know what I mean.

WOOSAAAAAAH!!!

But as I've studied and experienced money, I've come to profound understandings and have learned to transcend my emotionalism.  You see, the difference between Economics and Finance is, Economics teaches you to look at the big picture when it comes to money and your decision making.  In laymen, how the way you spend money affects the way you live, and vice versa.  In Finance, you are solely making decisions based on an output of numbers, solely for the sake of increasing the positivity in your bottom line; irregardless of the affect on lives.

Sad to say, most businesses operate in a Financial fashion as opposed to an Economic.  Not to say that there is anything wrong with such practice, being that increasing gain is how a business entity is designed to thrive, initially.  So the question of greed in this case can be quite subjective.

The thing is, it's not that corporations and politicians don't care about you.  It's just that, in most cases, they can't afford to care.  I know, I know, it would be nice for everything to be fair and equal (trust me I've gotten the short end of the stick plenty), but capitalism just doesn't work that way.  They can't give handouts to everyone, and believe it or not, they did do you a big favor by bailing out those banks (in the bigger picture).

I know, I know, you're not asking for a handout, you just want things to be fair and reasonable...I'll say it again, capitalism just doesn't work that way.  For every winner, there are losers.  And in this economy, it just so happens that these winners' wealth alone quantifies for the amount of losers.  Though it may seem lopsided quantitatively, it's pretty balanced qualitatively.

Alot of this, so-called, 1% were, at one point in time, apart of the 99%, believe it or not.  They just took ADVANTAGE of the capitalist structure and CHOSE to be winners.  Those are the key words...ADVANTAGE and CHOICE.  As fucked up as the economy is, YOU STILL HAVE  A CHOICE, and you can choose to take ADVANTAGE of opportunities that present themselves to you (no matter how small) as long as you are prepared for them.  ADVANTAGE, CHOICE, PREPARATION, and OPPORTUNITY.

Joining a bandwagon won't change anything, it will only make it worse.  But I guess it has to get worse before it gets better.

OOOooMG-izzle! THIS is some revolutionary shit! (MUST SEE, click here)

DISCLAIMER: By no means am I against marriage.  I fully understand the purpose that the institution of marriage serves and would like to see it purveyed in our society more healthily than it has been in the past.  To get a more in-depth understanding of my views on marriage, go to Lulu.com and purchase "Why Should I Get Married?", which is the 3rd installment in the Prosperity Unlimited LLC dating series.

NOW THAT WE'VE GOTTEN THAT OUT THE WAY...

What you see in the title of this blog post is my exact reaction to FULLY reading this article I've found.  He kinda took the words out of my mouth, but he's just WAY more radical with it.

The biggest points made by the gentleman being interviewed was how religion has used guilt and sex to manipulate it's supplicants, in which further perpetuate the existence of the religion, with no regard for individuals themselves.

Other great points made was the "brother and sister" concept; the "killing" within the relationship; and the complacency or "resignation" to already being married that occurs.

Here's a poignant excerpt,
"The myth that religion and society puts out is that true love is eternal and that true love should last forever, and that true love never dies. That is absolute nonsense!" Kazembe said. "In fact, it is the opposite. It is unreal love that lives forever. It is false love that lives forever. It is false love that never dies. Real love is dynamic, real love changes, it's like nature, it's like spring. It goes through the seasons and times, it moves and it changes."
Powerful isn't it?

Now, I know this will rain on alot of peoples' parades, but how can you be happy if you living a lie?  Grit your teeth, clench your fist, AND WATCH THIS VIDEO STRAIGHT THROUGH!!!  It's like vegetables...doesn't always taste good, but it's good for you.

Now that we got that out the way...

This article hit the nail on the head.  Now was I really just talking shit, calling my first book "Leave The Fairy Tales Up To Disney"?  This article really breaks it down as to the sour taste in the mouth behind dating and where it originates from.  However, it hearkens mostly to women; but I think much of that is needed.  But let's not dismiss the fact that there are some guys who are lost in the sauce and chasing fantasies; but they're the minority.

The article focuses on KEEPING THINGS IN PERSPECTIVE, and getting passed the fairy tales.  But read it for yourself if you don't want anyone "raining on your parade".

"Got everythaaaaaaang...in my mama naaaaaame...." lmao (click here)

I love articles like this. I normally say that when you're covering something up on the outside, you're covering something up on the inside.

And in that context, with women, it would be beauty. But with men, it would be finances. These are the extensions of our status, and how we manage it is how we perceive ourselves. Often we use these perceptions to promote or purport us to be more than what we really are or mainly for acceptance of the opposite sex.

There is nothing necessarily wrong with this at first glance. It's simply a part of nature. But when it goes towards your own detriment in the long term, that's a problem.

Boys like girls, but girls like money; and from my point of view, if you're thinking about pussy, it's ok to impress a woman upfront. But how long can you impress a woman if you're not taking into account getting old one day; and not taking into account that the things that used to impress a woman about you won't impress her anymore.

I think the main reason, guys like to flash fast money to females, isn't because they're not thinking for the long term; but more so, because they don't know HOW to plan for the long term. If they did, then they probably wouldn't be so insecure about passing up on a Lexus for a Toyota to put more towards retirement.

I dream of a day when dudes will sit in VIP at the club and flash stock options, instead of popping bottles. lol

"So Close But So Far": Married, Living Separate... (click here)

So an innocent thought grazed across my mind, but I guess that's never a good thing.  Being as unorthodox and unconventional as it is in nature, it's no surprise as to why I received such vehement opposition.

So in my conquest to reinvent what we know as marriage, I proposed the idea of married couples living separately.  Not for all, but for some, and whom it may be feasible for.

Conventionally, we are taught that when you marry someone, you must move in together.  But how has this worked so far?  The consistency of a monogamous relationship is very capable of becoming quite tedious, and (no, not the B-word), yes...BORING.  It's a couples duty to cultivate spontaneity or "spice" in a relationship.  And alot of that spice comes, simply, from space.

They say, "distance makes the heart grow fonder".  Most couples, when dating, live apart anyway.  It's living together that changes everything.  And you don't have to be married in order to live together in a relationship.  I've advocated for a while that marriage doesn't change anything other than the legal title of a couple.  But even though marriage doesn't change the actual relationship, living together does.

It shouldn't be that sad of a concept to accept the fact that for some couples living together actually makes the relationship worse.  This may have some hints of selfishness, mainly due to the dysfunctional and/or single parent upbringings today; yet it is still a reality, whether we want to accept it or not.

Now, for certain situations, living separately may become cumbersome when cultivating the affairs of a relationship.  However, living separately under a marriage can itemize the debt between the spouses and encourage financial responsibility. (you know me, always puttin a financial twist to it. lol)

Nonetheless, do what works for the two of you, because at the end of the day, you'll only have to answer to yourselves.

#BloggersNightOut at @shoploveys with @TionnaSmalls (Click Here)

So, after I got all the butterflies outta my system...I worked up the nerve to come to @shoploveys to attend Blogger's Night with @TionnaSmalls and show a little groupie love, lol.  The event was splendid.  Tionna was very candid.  Talking to her, I felt like I've known her for years.  Despite her stunning-ness, I must say, with everything that is in me, I kept it as professional as I could, cuz she was turning me into silly putty reeeeeal quick.

Her interns/staff was awesome as well as genuine, especially when I asked them what it was like working for Tionna.  They said she was all about helping and uplifting, and has no problem getting on you when your wrong, as well has boosting you up when you're right.

Kudos to her makeup artist Chyna (@dollhousepretty), who laid the eyebrow game down...quite flat! *Biggie voice*  But I thought her makeup work was impressive, even for a guy.

Among the people who attended were @angielala, @TiffonaFontee, @Shoemance, @YoshikoEnt, @JetsetterLyfe, Totten's Treats, ILikeUrStyle, just to name a few...

I got put into a CORNER... (click here)

So a lovely young lady named Tabitha Wiggins of Tabby's Corner Facebook Group courted me (have you seen this woman, my-my-my)... ANYWAYS! lol

She gave me the honor of interviewing me for my books, "Leave The Fairy Tales Up To Disney": The Reality of Dating and "Rebounding The Right Way" (click here for the books)

The interview went very smoothly.  It was actually the second interview, but I felt it went better, being that I was more explicit.

Take a listen STRAIGHT THROUGH...it's worth it.

It's hard enough to discuss money as an adult...

So here's a nifty little article about the process of raising children to understand money.  I like it alot because it doesn't just preach teaching kids money.

But it also takes a psychological approach explaining the importance of teaching money, as well as the stages in life that children graduate through, and how to go about conceptualizing money in each stage.

I think part of the reason why it's so hard for adults to discuss money is because most of us aren't acquainted with the concept as children.

Money has existed throughout the agricultural, industrial, and now, information age.  And as the ages progress, the concept of money is becoming more intricate with innovations in technology.  It's up to us to mandate our own self-education.

As adults, we have no more excuses...for mismanagement, frivolous spending, spending to impress, comfort spending, impulse buying, selective buying, or any destructive behavior that stems from our rearing and lack of knowledge and understanding of ourselves and how we spend money.

@JimCramer Gets #MadMoney with #Etrade!!!

So I happened to be graced with the presence of one of my adult idols, @JimCramer from #MadMoneyCNBC at an #Etrade seminar in the New York Hilton today.  Luckily I didn't have to pay a fee. lol  Not to mention I was able to stand within 5 feet of him. lol

But I don't know where he gets the energy from, him being way my senior, but he did not let down a bit.  From the television show to the morning seminar, he didn't miss a beat!  He went right into thesis, declaration, etc, on what the market needs to do in order to pick up.  Then, listing the 10 stocks like the most at the time.  And then a little Q&A, or what he would like to call #TheLightningRound!!!

Nonetheless, it was an experience I will not forget, and truly appreciate.

I skipped my prom...SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...

Studies like this always fascinate me.  Take a group of kids.  Different personality sets.  The jock, the nerd, the fly girl, the loner, etc.  You know, some Breakfast Club type shit.  Then follow 'em into there adulthood and watch what they amount to.  WHO WOULDN'T WANNA SEE THAT?

So I happen to come across a @TIME magazine article in the June 20, 2011 issue called "Life After High School", and a few parts stuck out to me.  Mainly of which concerning popularity.
"When you get to be our age, you all of a sudden realize that you are being ruled by people you went to high school with... You all of a sudden catch on that life is nothing but high school."
Now, as chilling as that excerpt was, in only the beginning of the article, that wasn't even the kicker!  Here is some of what they've found from their studies...
"Our work shows that popularity isn't all that important.  The key is finding a group of people with whom you can feel at ease being yourself."
"Indeed, recent research suggests that popularity isn't entirely positive.  Belonging to the cool crowd is associated with higher rates of drinking, drug use, sexual activity and minor delinquency...and the connection between social status and risky behavior may be a lasting one."
Great point!  So they validated what most of "unpopular" folks have known, deep down, all along.  But there's more of a "raise the wool over your eyes"-er here...
"What's more, popular kids may not even be well liked.  Researchers distinguish between two types of popularity: "perceived popularity" or how socially prominent individuals are, and "sociometric popularity" or how well liked they are.  Membership in the two groups often doesn't overlap.  Sociometrically popular teens have a wide group of friends and are described by classmates as 'trustworthy' and 'kind'; perceived popular students are admired and envied by their peers but are also regarded as 'arrogant' and 'stuck-up'.  And no wonder, many studies have linked perceived popularity to high levels of what researchers call 'relational aggression': spreading gossip, engaging in taunting and bullying and practicing exclusion and the silent treatment in order to maintain one's social position."
WOW!  Took the words out of my mouth!  So how did this article relate to me you ask?...

Well, I spent much of my childhood into my teenage years as a loner, but got the luxury of the best of both worlds when I became a jock.  I saw what I became, and what I was becoming.  And once I graduated, just like everyone else, that "real world" rude awakening set in.  But I never really noticed the "eternal high school" conundrum until I heard it in a song at the gym.

Then I thought of the reasons why I was a loner, and even when I was a jock.  It was mainly because I couldn't stand A WHOLE LOTTA FRONTIN (definition: perpetrating).

Most of the people considered "popular" never really amounted to anything.  We all know it!  ADMIT IT!

I remember deciding to skip my prom, thinking to myself..."sooooooo I'm gonna spend a bunch of money that I don't have on a limo, tux, hotel room, etc; to spend a night with a bunch of people who don't like me or have any interest in me whatsoever; just for some memory I can't do anything with?...nor is it necessary or will it benefit me in the future.

The only memory I would have is all that money I spent and what I could've spent it on, and how much other shit I could've done with my time!  So what was the worst that could've happened by me missing my prom???

Well aside from NOT having regrets, and voids within my soul for missing out on the so-called "high school experience" lmaooo...but also not having the regrets on money and time I could've wasted, and not to mention socializing a special moment with people I really don't want and have to socialize with.

I can also say that despite missing out on "popular" things like prom and graduation...believe it or not, I'm actually content with my life thus far in lieu of any social pressures.  Independent thinking is a gift to you and a curse to others.

More on Marriage: "The Good Die Single" (Click Here)

So what's actually wrong with dying single?

Does being alone really mean you're lonely?

Is divorce really a failure?

For so long we've held on to the ideals of the generation before us.  Has it worked for us thus far?  Look around you.  Relationships are falling apart left and right.  Even the ones you thought were most stable.  Not to mention the broken families, DEBT, divorce, alimony, child support, therapy.....................

We must realize the generations before us, whom we've derived our perceptions concerning marriage from, have skeletons in their own closets.  So why would we want to pattern ourselves after them?  Maybe because it's all we know.  It's up to us to question what it is that we believe, value, and know.  It will only make us better in the end.

Nowadays, I see a lot of relationships that tend to last, do so out of convenience, security (not only financial), complacency, and worst of all, FEAR.  But we won't digress...

A lot of the perceptions on marriage haven't only been passed down from the previous generation, but from societal pressure, and the bombardment of the media as well.  There is a lot business and profit surrounding marriage, but we won't digress on that either...

These pressures of perception have been passed on to a current generation that is generally foreign to the concept of marriage, due to the corruption of the generation before us.  So in turn, we're implementing an aged, obsolete, foreign concept in a world that is constantly evolving socio-economically.  Which perpetuates further corruption, and desolation of the sacred institution that is marriage.  BUT IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER...

It must get worse before enough people wake up and realize they've been going about this dating thing all wrong.

With so many people getting married, and so many marriages failing...can it be that these people aren't really in love?  Do they really know what love is?  Can it be that many of these people just aren't built for a relationship and are better off single?

It's a harsh reality being that no one wants to be alone, but why invest in a stock .that's plummeting?  The reasons the marriage stock is plummeting is what I like to call "The Two Headed Monster"...SEX and MONEY.  The two realities that set in when the romance is gone.

Changing our perceptions on marriage come from changing our perceptions on SEX and MONEY.  The ideals of the older generation MUST DIE in order for us to live.

Die and live with Prosperity Unlimited LLC,

More on Marriage: Getting a Masters Degree in Marriage FIRST... (Click here)

A little viewing material for some background before we commence...

Watch this also...

So I chatted with, the oh so delicious, Tiffanyelise Dreamwife Gary, and she set me straight with a few comments.
I posted, "Men marry for love and sex. Women marry for convenience and security. U never see a man w/ an ugly woman, but always a woman w/ an ugly guy."
After I posted my (click here) YouTube videos above on my Facebook, here's what this enticing young lady had to say...

"If you want to be in love, and enjoy your emotional transition, be in a relationship, and don't worry about marriage. People don't know what "marriage" is, it's history and what it was created for..."
She went on to say...
"...let's be realistic. Why do you think there is such a huge issue with gay people wanting to be married? Think about it! They can be in an emotional transition for 25+ years with their lover....then, on their death beds have no legal rights to their property, etc etc...people need to get Masters degrees in Marriage before they start their Marriage careers. Especially the one's who haven't seen marriages work, and grow."
But wait!  It gets better!  The lovely Miché Caple chimed in stating...
"In my opinion, if more people really understood what marraige really is they wouldn't do it. Most people need to just have a commitment ceremony and save the time and money. Very few people should get married."

Kevin W. Ferere's Hierarchy of Needs Theory (I added the "W." so I can sound smarter. lmaoooooooo)

  1. Survival - Ok, so you're born...your instincts take over right?  You want to eat, keep warm, and be safe.  Simple enough?
  2. Power - Instinctively, you want to survive; but you want to maintain that survival by keeping some sort of order and protection.  This is achieved by the establishment of authority and position.  The question is, what are you taking authority over?  Authority is expressed over any possible threat or ally to your survival; whether it be internal or external.  The threats are eliminated, and the allies are embraced.
  3. Wealth - Once you've attained power, it must be expressed, embellished, and celebrated.  Wealth actualizes the achievement of power and secures it.  It is a reward for living.
  4. Sex - From wealth comes pleasure, whether it be physical or psychological.   Sex is life's vacation after all the hard work of surviving, and achieving power and wealth.  After you've achieved things, whether abstract or material, you are now achieving another person.  A reflection of self in a sense.  Sex is a way for others to recognize and applaud your success of life on an intimate and primal level.  In essence, sex is desired from the beginning but lies dormant in the pursuit of everything else.
  5. Love - Once you've completed taking care of yourself, you can now express this to others and take care of them.  Love is how you share your life's work with someone else.  In the same way sex is a reflection of self, love reflects not only your life's achievements, but that of others.  Sex celebrates self, love celebrates others.

In turn, we are all celebrating life.  Not ours, or others, but the concept of life itself.  The struggle, the success; the good, the bad, and the ugly...and everything inbetween.

They're Protesting? Really?...

So the Economic Club of New York decided to have a convention at the Hilton New York yesterday, May 9th.  Media present to document the event were @CNBC and @CNN , to name a few.

Wildly enough, protesters made there way in to disrupt the event and get there point across.  Their main protest was against banks and how they need to "pay".  Police quickly rushed the scened as they made their way into the hotel lobby, and up to the ballroom where the convention was occurring.  Police soon escorted them out the building where they continued their protest on 6th ave for the world to see.

Berkshire Hathaway Chairman's Letter 1984 by Warren Buffet

[I heard a story recently that is applicable to our insurance accounting problems: a man was traveling abroad when he received a call from his sister informing him that their father had died unexpectedly.

It was physically impossible for the brother to get back home for the funeral, but he told his sister to take care of the funeral arrangements and to send the bill to him. After returning home he received a bill for several thousand dollars, which he promptly paid.

The following month another bill came along for $15, and he paid that too. Another month followed, with a similar bill. When, in the next month, a third bill for $15 was presented, he called his sister to ask what was going on. “Oh”, she said. “I forgot to tell you. We buried Dad in a rented suit.] - Warren Buffet

What would you say is the moral to this story? Hmmmmmm...

#NYAS 2011: WHERE ARE THE LAMBO'S!!!

I can't say I was completely disappointed in the show in it's entirety.  Maybe I was just disappointed in Lamborghini (my fav' brand) for not displaying an exhibit at this year's #NYAS held at the Jacob Javits Center from April 22 to May 1.

But all in all, the displays were exquisite.  Not to mention quite extensive.  The most notable displays were Cadillac, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Audi, and Lotus; in no specific order.  I must say Range Rover receives honorable mention for it's newer, sleeker, sexier design.  Dodge, once again, won the testosterone award for it's Magnum and Charger body styles.  Very exceptional.

But of course, if you know me, you knooooooooooow I have the Lamborghini emblem tattooed on my heart.  So how is it that the only two Lambo's in the building were in a little picture taking exhibit in the faaaaaaaar corner of the convention center!  Needless to say, I was let down, but at the end of the day, I enjoyed myself.

"Break ups require just as much work as relationships. Filing for child support, plan pick up/drop off dates/times, changing paswords, selectively deleting/keeping mutual friends in reality/social networks, setting up blocks, changing phone/cell numbers and address, rerouting driving routes, deleting playlists, changing churches, etc. Do more work to leave them than get with and keep them. smh" - Kanika L.
