Karl Lagerfeld Picks Willow Smith As The New Face Of Chanel

Trust Karl Lagerfeld to roll out some of the most outstanding creations for Chanel as well as pick the popular personalities to represent the French house. Willow Smith is the latest face of Chanel, exclusively picked by its creative director.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s 15-year-old daughter is the new Chanel ambassadress. The teen actress and singer faced the cameras in black and charcoal catsuit with a zipper-front detail at the runway show to be introduced as Chanel’s new face. She completed the look with a nose-ring, black belt, cut-off gloves, white and black booties and a matching coat.

The French luxury house officially announced, “The young singer, songwriter, actress and trendsetter has been wearing Chanel for public appearances since 2013 and her first encounter with Karl Lagerfeld was in 2014 when he photographed her for the American magazine V. She was notably present at the Chanel Fall-Winter 2016/17 Ready-to-Wear show presented this morning at the Grand Palais.”

The funky teen replied in gratitude on her instagram, “Thank you Karl Lagerfeld and the entire team at Chanel for expanding the perceptions of “beauty” by picking me to be the new Chanel ambassador. I am honored.” ‘Whip My Hair’ singer’s first encounter with Karl Lagerfeld was in 2014 when he captured her for the American magazine V.

Promoting French luxury labels is running in the family as Willow’s 17-year-old brother Jaden Smith has recently modeled womenswear for Louis Vuitton’s spring/summer 2016 collection by posing in a skirt.
