Tyra Banks To Appear On "Celebrity Apprentice"

Time to smize! Tyra Banks is replacing Ivanka Trump as an adviser on NBC's Celebrity Apprentice, a source exclusively confirms to Us Weekly.

The change comes at a time of transition for the long-running competition series, with the network officially announcing in September 2015 that Arnold Schwarzenegger is replacing Donald Trump as host. The parting of ways followed the real estate mogul, 69, making incendiary remarks in June about Mexican-American immigrants in announcing his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination.

Banks, 42, hosted The Tyra Banks Show on the CW for five seasons, for which she nabbed two Daytime Emmy awards. She also hosted the CW's America's Next Top Model, which signed off in December after 22 cycles. She enrolled in a management program at Harvard Business School in 2011 and launched cosmetics line Tyra Beauty in 2014.

On Wednesday, January 27, the former model announced that she and boyfriend Erik Asla had welcomed their first child, son York Banks Asla, via surrogate.

Ivanka, 34, joined father Donald on The Apprentice in its fifth season in 2006. The series has aired 14 previous seasons, including seven with famous contestants.

NBC is announcing the celebrity roster for the upcoming season on Thursday, January 28. A premiere date has not yet been revealed.

The network did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
