$100 Million Beverly Hills Home on Billionaire’s Row Hits the Market [EXCLUSIVE]

Designer and developer Michael Palumbo has created a profusion of jaw-dropping residences, but he says his latest project—a $100 million estate that will be built in Beverly Hills, Calif.—is his greatest work yet. “I’ve been doing this for 33 years and this is probably the biggest labor of love and the best project I’ve been involved with,” says Palumbo. “It’s the pinnacle of my career.”

Inspired by a floating estate in Singapore, Palumbo envisioned a compound-style home that revolves around water. Under his guidance, plans for the grandiose residence were designed by award-winning architects Shubin + Donaldson. Blueprints for the 24,500-square-foot estate feature seven bedrooms (including a 3,100-square-foot master suite with private access to a rooftop garden); 14 bathrooms; a great room with a hidden bar; and an 18-seat dining room—all wreathed in eye-catching water features.

A 1.5-inch-deep reflecting pool outside the home’s entryway leads to an acrylic pool in the foyer, which seamlessly connects to a lap pool and then to a vanishing-edge pool surrounding the property. “You can’t really tell where the water stops and starts because there isn’t really any stop and start at all,” Palumbo notes. The see-through pool in the foyer funnels light into the lower level of the home, which Palumbo feels is especially noteworthy. “The lower level is really special because of all the amenities that we were able to fit and still have light completely coming in it through the center of the house.” Equipped with a nightclub, a full bar and lounge (with the pool as its ceiling), a 20-seat theater room, a two-lane bowling alley, a professional catering kitchen, a hair and nail salon, a wellness center, an eight-car garage, and other extravagant entertaining amenities, the downstairs level truly functions as a socializing hot spot.

The entire open-concept home is spread across a one-acre lot. Vast walls of glass and electronically controlled infinity doors bathe the area in natural light, while fireplaces peppered throughout add a cozy feel. Expansive outdoor decks and lounge areas offer bird’s-eye views of the surrounding hills, while a library lined with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves provides quiet reprieve. However, the contemporary estate is exclusive not only because of its design but also because of its location. It will be situated on the last lot in the prestigious Trousdale Estates neighborhood of Beverly Hills, known as “Billionaires Row” due to its lavish homes and beautiful views of downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean.

The lot and plans are available for preconstruction acquisition for $35 million or for final turnkey purchase for $100 million. The residence will take approximately 24 to 26 months to build, and interested buyers can contact the Coldwell Banker team to learn more about the water-ringed oasis in Beverly Hills.
