Here’s How to Use Snapchat’s New Interactive Emoji Video Feature

Face-swap was sooo March 2016. Snapchat has released a new interactive emoji feature for video — and it’s everything. Users can now use emojis in their 10-second video clips that move with what they're shooting. For example, you can swap your cat’s face with the kitty emoji, have the plane emoji soar through the sky, or watch the surfer dude catch a wave.

The new feature is available now for all Android users and is expected to arrive shortly for iPhone / iOS users.

To use the new trick, simply shoot your video and then push and hold on to an emoji to get it to stick to an object or spot in your video. When you attach the emoji, it will automatically move, rotate and scale with that object, the same way the app's face-swapping and filters do.

More important, if you’re trying to hide your face while walking or moving around in a video, you no longer have to make sure the emoji stays put.

Genius! And slightly addictive.
