Drake Announces Release Date for His New Album ‘Views From the 6’

The 6 God is coming! Drake announced the release date for his fourth studio album, Views From the 6, on Beats 1’s OVO Sound Radio show on Saturday, April 9.

The highly anticipated project will officially be released on Friday, April 29, exclusively on Apple Music and iTunes.

“Views is dropping April 29,” the Toronto native revealed. “It’s something that I’ve been working really hard on, myself and [producer] 40... Trying to craft a lifestyle track, a sound for our city.”

He added, “It’s not a short ting [sic]. There’s a lot of music on there. You’ll have your full share of Drake music for the summer and for the year. Forever.”

Earlier this week, Drake dropped two brand-new songs from the album — “Pop Style,” which features Kanye West and Jay Z, and the tropical dance track “One Dance,” which features Wizkid and Kyla.

The “Energy” rapper’s 2015 mixtape, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, earned him a nomination for Best Rap Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
