This Is the First Super Bowl 50 Commercial You Will See After Kickoff
Yoga teachers will love this one. Michelob Ultra has landed the coveted A1 ad spot come Super Bowl Sunday, February 7, which means the beer brand gets to be the first commercial to air after kickoff.
In its 30-second spot, "Breathe," Michelob Ultra aims to encourage light beer enthusiasts to live out active-but-balanced lives.
In the clip, everybody is breathing, sighing, exhaling and pursuing healthy, fit lifestyles. The ad begins with a woman breathing as she lifts at the gym, followed by another lady sighing as she raises a pilates ball above her head. The sequence is followed by a man and a woman exhaling during their respective morning runs. There's even a yoga class filled with participants taking deep breaths as they flow into upward dog.
The ad ends with somebody cracking open an ice cold beer. "Brewed for those who go the extra mile," it read on the screen, pointing to the company's 2016 motto. "95 miles. 2.6 carbs. Michelob Ultra."
Along with this spot, Anheuser-Busch has shelled out to air numerous Super Bowl commercials throughout the big game. This past week, Budweiser released one of its spots featuring Helen Mirren in a warning against drunk drivers. The beer brand's beloved Clydesdales will notably also return during the big game. Its lighter sister brand Bud Light meanwhile, nabbed Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen as part of a hilarious political campaign spoof.
"Invest in the brand!"
