Nene Leakes Slams Women of The View, Calls Them “Bunch of Mean Girls”

Chilly, much? There were definitely some icy vibes on the set of The View on Tuesday, Nov. 17, when Nene Leakes dropped by to talk about her upcoming Broadway gig as Mama Morton in Chicago — and the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star didn’t have any problem calling it out.

“Just sat down with a bunch of mean girls turning up their noses, looking u up & down as if u don’t belong,” Leakes, 47, tweeted following her appearance. The reality star later deleted the post.

Leakes’ appearance on the show got off to a rocky start, with The View co-host Joy Behar noting that Leakes’ jewelry had injured her shoulder during her walk out onto the stage.

Behar, 73, also insisted on asking the reality star about her divorce and remarriage to Gregg, something Leakes didn't want to discuss in detail.

“I love companionship, love being married,” she told the ladies of why the couple reunited. When Behar tried to dig deeper and ask why they had split in the first place, Leakes skirted the question, replying that she “had to teach him a lesson — never to cross me.”

Behar took another shot at Leakes when the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum brought up how some other reality stars were trying to “imitate the Nene Leakes brand,” leading the talk show co-host to quip that it’s no wonder Leakes is “friends with Donald Trump.”

Leakes defended her comments about her former Celebrity Apprentice boss: “I didn’t say I was voting for him, honey, I said I liked him.”

"Invest in the brand!"
