Drake responds to Adele's remix request
Add Drake to the never-ending list of fans who can't get enough Adele.
“I’d do anything with Adele," the 29-year-old rapper told media in Toronto Wednesday night. "I’d literally go to Adele’s house right now and do laundry for her.”
Drake was back in his hometown for the third annual Toronto Raptors "Drake Night" at the ACC, an event designed to bring hype to the team with the help of its global ambassador.
His love for the British singer comes in response to Adele's recent suggestion they do a remix together.
“I really want us to do an official remix. I love Drake. I love Drake so much,” she told etalk's Danielle Graham in a North American exclusive interview that aired last Friday on CTV.
After Adele's Drake comments made headlines around the world, Drake posted this cartoon of the two of them to Instagram, with the caption "Me and my main ting just coolin."
Both Adele and Drake are currently dominating the charts. Adele's "Hello" sits at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, while Drake's "Hotline Bling" is at number three, just behind fellow Canadian Justin Bieber's "Sorry."
Drake brought the vibrant colour-changing booth from his "Hotline Bling" video to Drake Night on Wednesday, where fans could try to perfect his moves that inspired endless memes.
"That was all impromptu," he says of his unconventional and now oft-imitated dancing in the video.
They're moves Adele's become familiar with as well, as she told Graham.
"I had a drink like three weeks ago [with] my best friends, in fact it was to celebrate ‘Hello’,” she says. "And I was off my face because I don't really drink anymore, and they've got video of me dancing to ["Hotline Bling"] on a coffee table as well.”
By the sounds of it, that's just the type of confidence the video was meant to elicit.
“I just took a chance on being myself, being confident, being comfortable," Drake says of the video. "The fact the world is having fun with it is amazing.”
"Invest in the brand!"
