Inside Hublot’s Largest US Flagship In New York
Hublot heads to New York City to open the doors of its largest flagship in the United States. The luxury Swiss watch brand also celebrated its love of NYC by hosting a series of events throughout Manhattan.
Located in the heart of the city at 743 Fifth Avenue (between 57th and 58th streets in the center of Manhattan), the new boutique has also been designed by architect Peter Marino.
The new flagship outlet’s facade, which is claimed to be brand’s tallest in the world, features 70 feet powder coated black aluminum panels lit with LEDs. Step inside to explore the 1500 square feet interiors that boasts black lava stone and wood floors, graphite-colored leather furnishings as well as glass and polished stainless steel fixtures.
High-tech innovations include “shadow-less” LCD vitrine windows, sophisticated yet unobtrusive lighting, a wall of monitors, and a “book” with virtual turning “pages”, each showing a part of Hublot’s history, in the main window on Fifth Avenue.
An untitled 2014 painting by the artist Albrecht Schnider is suspended in front of the smoked gray floor to ceiling mirror in the back of the boutique.
Another highlight inside the boutique is the display of Hublot’s newest timepiece in honor of Usain Bolt, the Big Bang UNICO Usain Bolt, designed in collaboration with the world’s fastest man.
Ricardo Guadalupe joined together with Brand Ambassadors Usain Bolt and living legend, the soccer god Pelé to host the ribbon cutting ceremony outside of the Hublot boutique.
