"How to Make Money Selling Drugs" - @matthewtwooke MOVIE REVIEW by @KEVINFERERE
If you thought selling drugs was easy...WELL THIS MOVIE MAKES IT LOOK EASIER.
But dismiss the sarcasm throughout the film, and don't miss the forest for the trees. This film takes all the air out of your "ambition balloon" and gives you a glass of humble juice to chase the raw truth you have to swallow about the horrible, grim, and uncompromising world of illegal commerce.
Yeah, at first (just like any money gimmick) they attract you with all the wealth, the opportunity, the lucrative potential, and ease. But that's only the flip-side of the coin. Are you willing to risk your life, your freedom, your health?
That's exactly what the film proposes. I appreciated the time the film took to assess the woes in the legal system and it's perception of drug trafficking throughout the years; with it's unreasonable sentencing for non-violent crimes.
I actually got to see a lawyer cry in this documentary (NO SPOILERS). That's major! At the end of the day, I always say "blame the buyer, not the seller". I like documentaries like this because there is no bias in the film structure. Whether your views on drug dealing are the utmost negative or not; your perception WILL be changed when you're done watching this film.
