Swiss watchmaker Hublot is the official timekeeping sponsor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and before the world’s biggest sporting event kicks off in Russia the luxury brand has released a special edition watch specifically for the tournament. Called “The Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia,” the Hublot special edition is a smart watch that runs on Wear OS. If that name doesn’t ring a bell, let me tell you that it’s nothing but a rebranded version of Google’s Android Wear. The limited edition Hublot smartwatch is powered by the same Intel Atom Z34XX processor that is found in the 2017 Tag Heuer Connected Modular 45.

The Big Bang Referee features a 35.4mm watchface along with 400 x 400 AMOLED screen. Additionally, the watch comes with Bluetooth 4.1, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and a 410mAh battery that provides a day’s worth of battery life. As the name of the watch suggests, the new smartwatch will be worn by all the referees during the tournament and will be used to determine whether it’s a goal or not using the Goal-Line technology. The watch is also packed with some 2018 World Cup software, including a countdown to the event and notifications on the matches and live score once the World Cup starts in June. Limited to only 2018 pieces, the Big Bang Referee 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia watch can be yours for $5200.
