Carte Blanche Rémy Martin by Baptiste Loiseau
Rémy Martin’s youngest cellar master Baptiste Loiseau, is behind the house’s latest launch. Carte Blanche Merpins is the result of Loiseau being given free reign to create an exclusive limited edition blend that represented the brand. The cellar master chose a Cognac Fine Champagne from the Merpins Cellars at the Rémy Martin estate, aged 27 years.
The resultant blend delivers spicy notes of cinnamon and clove, mixed with mirabelle, honey and gingerbread flavors. This blend celebrates the Old Cognac Fine Champagne quality of Rémy Martin and its dedication to this blend of Grande and Petite Champagne comprising at least 50% Grande Champagne.
“I was really lucky, because a few months ago I was given carte blanche by the family to reveal the treasures of the house,” Loiseau said, “When I went back to the cellars, I took all these samples and chose this blend, because to me, it truly embodies the Rémy Martin style.”
9650 of the coveted blend will be available globally with only 2,000 reserved for the US. Each one will sell for $500. It is recommended that Rémy Martin Carte Blanche be served neat.
