The Poetry of Time by Van Cleef & Arpels

It is not every day that a luxury watchmaker such as Van Cleef & Arpels lands on our shores for a special exhibition, which is why ‘The Poetry of Time Exhibition’ is one that intrigues us. Running from February 17 to 26, the exhibition will be hosted at ION Orchard, and is an opportunity for us to get a glimpse of some of its latest masterpieces. The exhibition is a chance for those of us who missed out on the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) in January earlier this year, to get a glimpse of what is in store for 2017.

The century-old brand will be bringing down not only some of its classics but also five of its new creations that had been unveiled at SIHH 2017. One such timepiece that will be part of the Maison’s first stop in displaying its 2017 novelties is none other than the Lady Arpels Papillon Automate. The Lady Arpels Jour Nuit Fée Ondine and the Midnight Planétarium Poetic Complication will join the enchanting watch. Capturing flora, fauna and constellations on a dial, is no easy feat and speaks of the brand’s expert craftsmanship.

If looking at the timepieces is not enough, then you will be happy to know that the Maison will be bringing along an artisan from February 18 to 22. This will allow Van Cleef & Arpels to demonstrate the craft of enamelling that helps to create the unique dials that have captured or imagination.
