Young single mother from Brooklyn NY with a love for creating, whether through movement or formation.  Has been designing handmade jewelry since the fall of 2011, consistently thinking of unique materials to use to bring to life.  She believes that the jewelry we adorn ourselves with expresses our uniqueness, can tell our story and expresses our vision.  “We are our own canvas and the things that we wear adds to the masterpiece which is us”.  When searching for material she tries to look for things that are out of the ordinary and different. She enjoys working with clay, resin, leather, rubber tubing, and many other materials. Cassie Chris doesn't only have a love for creating but she also has a passion to teach others her craft.

The name Jewels of Genesis was inspired from her life experiences and the birth of her daughter. Genesis is her daughter’s name and she was and still is the beginning to new life and experiences not only as a mother but as a woman. The word Jewels represents the knowledge that she has acquired and still is acquiring about self and life. The name of her brand means a lot to her because of the meaning behind it. She believes that she is here to change a generation by inspiring a generation to live their dreams. In her process she is learning the importance of being fearless, patient, confident and to live on purpose. Her motto for her brand is to Be bold, Be Beautiful and Stand Out. Be bold is to be fearless and express yourself in your own unique way unapologetically.  Be beautiful is to feel confident in your skin.  And stand out to own your uniqueness no matter who’s watching or what they say. Cassie Chris plans to work more on collaborating with others, build as an artist and get more into teaching her craft to the youth. She hopes to be remembered for her unique style and to be an inspiration to many young women climbing up the ladder of success despite their circumstances.
