2018 Bentley Mulsanne



The 2018 Bentley Mulsanne is a sedan produced by the luxury car maker Bentley since 2010. The name is a tribute to the French town of Mulsanne, whose territory is crossed by a non-permanent portion of the Circuit de la Sarthe, where is held the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, of which Bentley has won 6 editions. The car was first shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August 2009. It is intended to become Bentley’s new flagship, the larger and more expensive than the Continental Flying Spur model. The engine is still a development of the classic V8 and as Bentley used since 1959. Deliveries started in mid-2010.

The 2018 Bentley Mulsanne is the flagship model, the most prestigious of the Bentley brand. Heir to the Arnage, which was the last model Bentley to influence affected by the historic collaboration with Rolls-Royce, the Mulsanne is the first flagship model entirely designed by Bentley since 1931, after years of Rolls-flu Royce and is the second Bentley to bring this glorious name.

With this flagship model, the Bentley has completed its range of completely renewed under the stylistic and mechanical profile. In summer 2012, the Bentley has announced plans to crown the range with the Mulsanne Convertible, version cabriolet which will be marketed between 2013 and 2014. The final prototype was presented to a select group of clients and journalists premiered at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

The biggest news of the new 2018 Bentley Mulsanne is extremely sleek and sinuous design that gives it an austere elegance and a newly developed engine. The engine is a 6.75-liter V8 supercharged by two turbochargers that deliver a power of 512 hp at 4,200 rpm/minute, with rear-wheel drive and automatic transmission ZF eight electronically controlled relationships. The 2018 Bentley Mulsanne speed limit declared by the manufacturer, stood at 296 km/h, with an acceleration 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.
