Runway Colour Collection Tom Ford Beauty FW16
New to the lineup: a lip liner and lipstick all in one handy product.
Tom Ford’s pushing ahead of everyone in New York with his recent Fall/Winter 2016 fashion show, held at the Four Seasons. Besides selling ready-to-wear straight off the runway, the show saw the same season’s colour collection worn by the models and similarly ready for retail.
The key word for the beauty at Tom Ford this FW16 season was “grooming”. Pat McGrath went for perfected skin, minimal use of tonal colours, and overall polish, driving home the luxurious elegance of the fashion collection’s pencil-skirted silhouette and moody autumnal colour palette. On the eyes: light washes of sheer, glossy pink (there’s a product for that!), the lips: a defined but soft nude (there’s a new product for that!), and the face: dialled down polish with a rosy flush (you get the drill).
New to the permanent lineup starting this September is the Lip Contour Duo ($76) – a lip liner and lipstick all at once and available in 8 shades. Fans of Tom Ford beauty will remember how well his double-ended Eye Defining Pen works – the same philosophy applies here. Thin end for shaping and defining the lip, then filled in with the matching shade of lipstick.
The rosy glow on the model’s cheeks were achieved with the Cheek Colour blush in Love Lust ($85).
Limited edition Cream Colour for Eyes in Pink Haze ($68).
Not content with these firsts, Ford has also launched a new Private Blend fragrance, Ombré Leather 16 eau de parfum ($330 for 50ml), inspired and created to complement the collection. The smokey scent is sumptuous and unabashedly leather-heavy, completing the dimly-lit lounge feel of the clothes.
The accompanying fragrance for the FW16 season: Ombre Leather 16.
Here’s the best part: it’s all in stores already! Head down to TANGS at Tang Plaza to shop the collection.
